It should come as no surprise that Chantel Lauren is our first designer showcase ~ a true fan favorite here at Serendipity!
The Chantel Lauren collection first stole our attention with the infamous steel blue “Mae” dress and then stole our hearts with their first trip to Austin. Our partnership with Chantel Lauren began in the summer of 2016 as they were debuting their collection to a select few boutiques across the country, in a series of Pop-Up Trunk Shows (a now favorite type of event for us!). After Kristen, their sales guru, handled our new designer interview (a.k.a interrogation) with ninja like skills we were utterly confident this pairing would be kismet. We met the full team at New York Bridal Fashion Week the following October and immediately fell in love with not only their designs and dreamy fabrications but the passion and energy that was emminating from that little suite at the London Hotel. (Not to mention the confidence that is instilled by personal style and Chantel was rocking a black leather pencil skirt, of course with an exposed industrial zipper, and super caz top like she sets the trend reports).
Chantel Galloway (a TX native) is the visionary behind the Chantel Lauren brand. It was clear she had an innate ability, and was destined, for this field when she began sewing at the age of 6. Chantel has spent her whole life immersed in the garment construction world. After many years of creating custom one-of-kind gowns for her local Salt Lake City community, she decided to take a leap of faith and began producing her own collection for (now worldwide) boutique retail distribution. With the utmost support of her equally talented (and super awesome) hubby Tyler, along with a stellar core team including Tyler’s sister Leah, the Chantel Lauren Brand was born with the 2017 Bridal Collection.
The muse to their collection are the iconic sounds of the golden age of rock music. Each gown is infused with their passion for music and their craft, and is named in honor of an artist who’s music has helped shape their lives. “Iconic gowns for spirited babes”.
We had the pleasure of hosting Chantel and Tyler in Austin for a Designer Appearance Trunk Show weekend and our fate was sealed for our love obsession of this brand. We had a epic weekend styling 7 (SEVEN!) Chantel Lauren brides, even getting some love for all the amazing colors of Mae.
We are equally as enthusiastic to see what gems they create for the 2018 Collection and are counting down the weeks until October bridal market. We feel so fortunate to have found this great pairing where we can all support each other in doing what we love!
